I really wanted to sit and write some last yesterday and last night, er, this MORNING, when I got back from the show but, alas...not happening.
Yesterday was a significant day for me artistically.
We had an amazing elementary art teacher's meeting at the studio of Mimi McCallum, local painter. It was just what I needed..time with other art teachers to make sense of the various art shows, lesson ideas, assessments... and, oh yes, trying to maintain artistic self. I could related to her. A retired art teacher, now full-time painter with her own studio...done. Sign me up. Now.

... so then...it was home to get ready for the Art Nouveau Chinese New Year Show...as always, it was worth it. I was tired today but it was good to get out, show some art, sell some art, make art and just be a part of the event itself. Jess and I had a great spot, right by the stage so we could see all of the performances...and...well, we got 'Best Representation of the Theme'! Yay!
I am tired. I might not be able to finish the CED #26 that I started today...will try...but for now, here is the slideshow from last night...and, you know EVERYONE was not kung fu fighting...but there was a cool martial arts performance...
