Marching along...

...get it?  MARCHing?!

As predicted, the calendar days continue to pass and what do ya know- it's a brand new month.  Time for a new series!

Last month I revisited my #FashionGrindJLG series from April 2020.  The main reason I chose to do this was to get back in the same headspace so I could create some new coffee commissions from a gal that saw my work at Port City Java, also- the coffee smells divine, I love to drink it and ya'll know I love some fashion!

For March I knew I wanted to continue with my fashion focus- but I wanted to try something different.  Then it came to me...paint with wine? WINE not?!

#VinoVogueJLG

Something to know about me in case you didn't already know- not only to I have the BEST coffee hookup- but I also live with my own wine expert- my husband, John! Also, I don't really drink wine- the tannins hurt my jaws.

But John assured me he was happy to help me supplying the wine, something about it would pair nicely with his brisket meals.

Gonna have to fill this glass- I need some 'paint'!

Thanks in advance

to John for being willing to help me with this month's series, and for being SO happy to help!

I am also continuing with the additional sewing project on the side.  I was originally gonna continue down the rainbow spectrum...but then I started thinking about St. Patrick's day, and also all of the green all around me as everything comes back to life and- GREEN it is!

I started the same way I did for my two previous pieces, watered down acrylic paint on cross-stitching canvas.  This time I also stitched a few scraps of some fabric that I hand-dyed waaaaaay back in grad school and have been hoarding 'for special'.  (if you know, then you KNOW)

I also added some wool and couched some nice yarn on the piece for some texture...which there will plenty of when this is done!
