Selected Works (3)

We have to submit your 3 best artworks. You have MANY good options, and I know you are probably working on some stuff now, too...we can use these again in the second part of the portfolio...we need to choose the three that really show MARK MAKING...so think, 'DRAWING'...shading, line quality, line variety (hatching, cross hatching, stippling, gestural line, detail line...) We have discussed this at length so I know you are thinking about it when you are making pieces.
This is what a '5' will show, according to the AP rubric;
A. Visual evidence of advanced 2D/3D/Drawing skills.
B. Visual relationships among materials, processes, and ideas are clearly evident and demonstrate synthesis.
C. Written evidence identifies materials, processes, and ideas. (we will get this this part later)

Sustained Investigation (10)

We can put these in a different order, this kind of shows how you first started at the beginning of the year vs the final pieces. We have to submit a total of 10 images. Keep in mind that we can 'collage' multiple images to a page. You know what to do, you have some pieces to finish....look for 'gaps' in your idea/development of the idea...think of it like you are taking the view on a journey...and really think about that question, what is it that you are exploring with these images of food/people eating? And it is FINE if it has changed/morphed/grown!
And of course...mark-making...experimenting...small sketches, value scales...
