Long story short...we made some hearts to send to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland after that awful shooting on February 14th. We made over 500 hearts. They were glazed and hand painted clay...embossed foil...wood...and hand sewn fabric. ...and my classes participated...so did Bludworth's...and Ms. Cox, the band director...and Mr. Geltman...and some teachers came to help during their planning periods...and the front office staff helped...and kids that aren't even signed up for art came to create. We all pitched in. The local news came and covered the story. I took the hearts down to my husband's aunt and uncle down in Parkland to deliver them to admin at MSD. ...and I hope I never have a reason to do something like this ever again. #NeverAgain
