Anita Holmes, the executive director at the Benzaiiten Center for Creative Arts (just a few blocks from school!) is offering free classes this summer through the 'Taste of Glass' program. Four students participated in this last summer and really enjoyed it. I will not be organizing this for you- if you are interested you will need to contact Mrs. Holmes either by email, phone or in person. This will be good 'adulting' practice for you :)

'Cause in studio 2-110 we don't stop making art...EVERRRRRRRR.
In addition to the what is pictured in the slideshow above, students also helped close down the art room by cleaning/sorting/organizing and labeling supplies and areas of the room. I thought I took pics, but I think I just took videos and posted in the Insta story. I will definitely be sharing at the beginning of next year.
1) Brent Bludworth is the #1 Lake Worth tour guide ever and if you say different I will fight you. Try me.
2) This dude fell through his roof the night before and did this WALKING FIELD TRIP with STITCHES in the bottom of his foot! I still can't believe it!
Where is all of the action? If you stop by here and don't see anything...it's cause all the action is on Insta, babe! Make sure to check out @studio2_110, I update that literally ALL of the time...here...not so much.
I promise we're making stuff- ya just gotta know where to see it!
Which is why we are stopping everything and making a
3D-1 you are working super small so you can finish it in a week/week and a half. Paper size is 9x12, portrait or landscape. It doesn't have to look like a basic color wheel- 'cause ya'll aren't basic, right? The only requirement is that you have at least 48 sections to paint...that will allow for each of the twelve pure colors, and the tints, tones and shades for each one. Please have the design completed in pencil before you leave for Thanksgiving so we can start painting as soon as we get back.
Advanced folk- I am making ya'll do one, too. Make it fit with the work that you have been creating.
After that it is fast-forward to the holidays...you will paint your 3D letters and as soon as I fire your clay pieces you can paint them, wrap them and then take them home :)
Be ready to WERRRKKKKKKKK!
