1, 3 and 5th period classes, 'Inspiration Cube

3D Classes...by this point, you should have a good start on gathering magazine images, words, letters, colors for your 'Inspiration Cube.'  Here are some things to consider;
  • Will each side of the cube represent a part of you/your personality?  If so, how will make them distinct?
  • Will the overall cube represent all aspects of you?  If so, how will you unify it?
  • How can you guide the viewer to look at your finished work in the order in which you want it to be seen?
  • Is there an overall color scheme, theme and/or mood to the work?
  • Will it open?  If so...what is inside?
  • Will it have cutouts...windows...doors...?  If so, what do they reveal?

Remember that the 'Inspiration Cube' is your first project, and will be a jumping point to more works based on who you are as a person and artist...what YOUR interests are....what inspires YOU.  So use your class time wisely between working on sketch assignments and this first project- remember, you manage your class time so that you can be most effective on any given day...and so that you can enjoy what you are doing.

If at any time you need to discuss your project evolving into another direction...into some other form or media please talk with me.  I am here for you, to help guide you to create the work that YOU envision :)

...there will be a time-lapse video posted here...for now, check my IG or #inspirationcube.
