 ...first time going to APB in a few years just as a spectator, not working a booth or representing anyone but myself and...I didn't mind it one bit! (the dramatic dress sure helped, though)  There's nothin' that me, some old costume jewelry, my pliers and leather scraps can't do! Click on the picture below to see more photos from the event!!   I had to do a taped studio interview...with my stupid EYE! Ughhh. Thankfully, my talented friend Giselle did my hair and makeup and made me forget about my gross old eye. What is the interview for? That's a secret for a little while longer...  I had to have some custom jewelry for my time on the big screen! This 'necklace installation' is two twisted red necklaces that I already had paired with some leather scraps.  I busted a blood vessel in my eye laughing too hard. It was pretty much the WORST week that this could happen. Ughhhhh  ...but the show must go on! That art ain't gonna make itself, you know!  Yup, participating in another Continuum event!   I donated this piece and it SOLD! The money will go towards the No More Starving Arts fund.   These are the ears I made for the Festival of the Arts last year- I decided to revamp those and wear'em again! I just added crayons to the back of the ears, a pink sequined bow that I found in my classroom and a measuring tape bow on top of that. DONE!  There was some construction this year, so that wasn't the best but the displays were fun, we love talking to the artists. I didn't pay as much attention to the food last year but they had some cool 'art themed' snacks.  Slushbox has the coolest shows!  Blud participated in the show, too!  I selected these two gals from my November series to go into the show.   A trip to Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios at the same time that the Arts Festival is happening at Epcot calls for my most ARTISTIC Star Wars shirt...and custom ears to match! |
