...I played around with a photo mosaic program tonight..superimposed my daily images from this year (I don't think it ended up showing all of 'em) over a silly pic of me...cause...well...I am excited. Like...really, really, REALLY excited.
Tomorrow...which is in less than thirty minutes....will mark the final day of 2013 and the 365th day that I have committed to making time for my art. Not sure what the last piece end up looking like...trying to get some closure with the December series but also give a nod to New Year's Eve...and I really want to make at least 13 more fashion illustrations to even out to 100 for the year... It is going to be a busy day. Stay tuned!! ...I am typing this from under five blankets and my fingers are almost frozen...it's COLD in North Carolina...brrrrrr!!!! Anyways, I hope you had a Merry Christmas (or happy day regardless of what you celebrate) As for me...enjoying time with friends and family...and making art...of course!
It has been a little over a week since I updated my blog and truthfully...it might be a lil' bit before I update it again blog with all the holly jolly happenings and ARTastic adventures, and believe me there are MANY! In the meantime, I did thaw out my fingers long enough to update my December 2013 album on my FB page...and to my 'Recent Works' page on here on my web site...til' then, please check me out on Instagram...lot's of sparkle and lot's of art for ya! @artinw_damuse Okay...I can't feel my nose...or my toes...gotta go! This weekend was very productive! I spent Saturday organizing and cleaning. Those closest to me know...I love organizing almost as much as I love art, which sounds pretty crazy but it is true. I finally tackled the little piles of 'stuff' that had accumulated in various corners of our place...piles of papers, receipts, pictures, random office and art supplies...it all adds up. I see those little groupings out of the corner of my eye each day and it stresses me out, like some unchecked box on a to-do list that I never can get to. Until this weekend, that is! Feels great! My day-long clean-up set the stage for me to be able to have a very creative Sunday. Instead of making a collage or a slideshow I am posting a gallery below, just to do something different. Enjoy! That is the best way to sum it all up....FANCY. I had the chance to go down to Fendi Casa in the Miami Design District on Thursday night as press for Art Hive and it was...fancy. Like, super fancy...beautiful...amazing. There was a silent auction and Christmas tree contest/auction to benefit Little Dreams Foundation, which is a charity founded by Orianne and Phil Collins to help children pursue their dreams in art, music or sports. I did my best to be fancy with my DIY necklace...but then I came home and finished up my art with a sparkly ring, and that was fancy enough for me!
(Left) John and I biked to the beach yesterday and we saw this fun house right on the boardwalk with tons of inflatable Christmas characters...it's just so happy and tacky and festive...love it! Christmas at the beach, ya'll! (Top Right) CEDs 443-444 completed on Dec 9-10...still working with the sleep mask in the pieces, concentrating on detail graphite drawing and then letting loose with some watercolor! (Bottom Right) Watching the season finale of Sons of Anarchy and sketchin' some new little ladies for collages...it...was...INSANE! I am still reeling from what happened in that episode!!!! |
