FROM Seven pieces into my March 2016 series and I finally have a title;

#LegendaryMenOfMusicJLG

Thank you to Justin 'Dirty' Harris from McKenzie's Mill for helping me with the title. I knew I could count on you...and here are some other things to know about this series, besides where the title came from;

I wan to focus on drawing men this month (since I always draw ladies!)
Focus on (male) musicians, mostly frontmen/solo artists of various genres...'cause my musical taste is VERY eclectic!
Work on my charcoal skills...I have never actually had any formal training in charcoal so I am hoping to improve my skills.

If my other 'BFAM' (there are a couple!) happens to read this...yep RG- you...don't worry, you will get a shout out for your AMAZIN' frontman presence...you know I loves ya!

NEW ISSUE OF ART HIVE!!!

Every time the new issue of Art Hive Magazine comes out I am always so proud and amazed by my friends, Jess and Angela for making it all happen. This is the 17th issue and its so crazy to think that I have been fortunate enough to be included in each and every issue. Sometimes I my ARTicles were about inspiration...local resources...giving back...not giving up...DIY fun...a little bit of everything. My 'voice' continues to develop, but they have always allowed it to remain just that- my voice. I hope that each and every ARTicle has something inspiring, some kind of 'take away' for the reader.

In the current issue, I wrote about something that is a goal of mine- having my artwork licensed. I started looking into this a few years ago...spent countless hours researching and sending out emails...got tons of 'not interested'...got discouraged...almost stopped making art...wait- just read for yourself;

Another part of my ARTicle- this fun interview with Billy the Artist- one of my 'art rock stars'! (Literally, it's even in the title!)

Since I am pretty much awful at summarizing without giving the entire article away...
ummm...read it!
