...girls art night ended for me around 3am. Straightened up a little, washed my face and went right into a deep sleep. No dreams. But for whatever reason I woke up at 6:30ish and just felt this urge to get up, get ready as fast as possible to drive to the beach and draw when the sun came up. I could not say no, had to go. The sun came up before the 7:03 time I found on-line...but it was pretty close. I just wanted to feel the sun on my face and on my paper as it was just coming up to start the new day. Many times when I have a creative night the next morning I wake up early, inspired...then drift off into a little period of void where I am not getting anything done...well, I guess I am, maybe not physical artwork, but the things that go along with it, like organizing, and writing about the work...editing photos. Same today. After working on two drawings I came home, picked up some martini glasses to paint, some pink glass paint, more wooden plaques and then...its not like I stopped, but I did get distracted... mostly working on the slideshow that I added in the last post...kind of my way of reflecting on the creative night with friends. But I still have daylight, which I feel like I need to go out and soak in while I can...gonna be awfully cold back home in NC when I go home. Then, maybe I can focus again later. ...so another art night...this time I hosted...tons of creativity, chaos, sparklin' and general awesomeness...eight gals, two cats randomly running around...moustaches, skulls and evil eyes on stemware and ornaments (Jess)...assorted tissue paper flowers (Sofia)...patterned wine glasses and msc. bedazzlin' (Me)...artist's assistant and butterfly painter (Estefania)...card writing (Siddhi)...scrapbookin' (Giselle)...wedding picture sorting (Jen) and msc. ornament painting (Ashley)...whew! We got stuff DONE!!!! Can't wait til the art event this coming Wednesday! (Make sure to turn sound 'on', added a good jam for the slide show!) ...all done with these...sparkles are glued down...and they are off on the long journey to Hawaii...hope she likes them!
My friend Jessie shared the link below with me...apparently I made the slide show!
