I did it! I finished a whole new body of work for my show with Brent next week! Local folks, come and see it! I have my daily pieces...and some fun side projects (more about that below) that will be on display and available for purchase! Come to the show!!  ...so I switched gears for the last week of my series...decided to make some smaller pieces, partly because I wanted to have some variety in the upcoming show...and also have some different price points for folks wanting to buy...and just 'cause I wanted to make some bathing suits! So...here they are;  Annnnd...what is a tropical vacation without a tropical cocktail? (To my students that may see this...these are NOT for you kiddos...sorry, these are for grown folks)

...a true artists...and a part of my Mtv upbringing.   ...and just because I allow myself to be distracted...I also am making a side series of paintings based on photos I took at a local greenhouse last weekend and also my early morning trips to the beach :)   ...just a couple of things inspiring me this weekend... For starters, LIVE MUSIC!  Finally got to go to a Pearl Jam concert! ...and NATURE!  (Left) Taking pics at a local nursery (Right) Morning at the beach Here is the series so far (below) ...but first, read this...ummm...disclaimer? Is that what this is? Kinda. I wanted to make sure and make a note that the final images won't be loaded to FB and/or my web for a few reasons. For starters- dry time. I work on these paintings usually at night, and usually go back into them the next day with more paint, and a final layer of drawing with conté crayon. Also, I like to take the final pics outside during a certain time of day...sometimes I am napping so I miss that window. But the work is being made, that's for sure! (heck, even some extra stuff!) If you check my updates to Facebook/Instagram and Tumblr you will see all of the most recent happenings, so check those out of you have a minute.
