I wake up early on my day off. Literally bolt out of bed, my mind already set on some purpose that I am not usually aware of until the rest of me wakes up, grumbling because I had plans to sleep in. (That's why I take so many naps)
Today, the reason I woke up is I kept thinking about the Yayoi Kusama show at the Whitney in NYC. The show ends on September 30th. I think I read something about it over the summer, and read about her collaboration with a line for Louis Vuitton...and I haven't been able to this out of my head. I really want to see this show, especially with my new obsession with fashion illustration. And I have been waiting, trying to decide about the funds...juggling my crazy schedule to try and find a time to go, asking friends to try to set up a trip...I think I just have to make this happen.
So anyway, that is what is on my mind. Gotta get busy, make some art. Generate some sales...I'm seeing DOTS!
and...well...since I am sharing....
Dear Tim Gunn, please have coffee with me and let me show you my art. Sprinkle some magic on it, tell me how to 'make it work' and look at my new love of fashion illustration with 'an editing eye'.
