Then we headed back...made record time (for us). I had a couple of days to myself to get some things of my self-inflicted 'to-do' list. Besides cleaning and organizing my studio the largest task I took on was FINALLY going through all the framed pieces from my retrospective...ummmm...yep...the one in JANUARY!! I procrastinated, but I did finally take all of the pieces out of the frames, wrap the frames up for storage and then I filed away each of the almost sixty pieces from the past five years into their respective folder and storage bin, in chronological order....yup. It was intense to say the least.
You know...I didn't take too many pics while we were at the museum. I was really making a conscious effort to be present and really experience the exhibit. I wanted to look at every piece of art, every photo and read all the captions and information about Frida. And I did. ...oh, and my daily art- I kept up with it, it's part of my life now. I decided to bring Frida into my pieces, but to make it fit my theme I gave her some sunglasses. These ended up being some of my favorite pieces from the series!
