I gotta tell you- this past January this was what I felt in my heart and someone, somewhere, felt the same way;
Anyhow, I completed my 'revisited' #MissMatchyMatchyART series. I first did this series back in January 2015
I know when a series is a good fit for me because the work happens very organically, with a kind of ease. That's how this series was for me, each day I was excited to select which piece of jewelry to 'inspire' my daily artwork...and each day I was able to select just the right piece, and really relish my time doing the work. Don't get me wrong, I always enjoy making my art, but adding my love of jewelry to it just took it to the next level!
I didn't bother trying to go back to that sep jewelry blog like I did my first go round- that took off some of the stress. I did a little write up each day when I posted to IG and Facebook and I just let that suffice.
I still can't shake the feeling that I want to get into reselling some of my costume jewelry pieces. I have amassed such a collection over the years...looking into Poshmark and I think it might be a good venue for some of these pieces...I just need an extra few hours in the day to set up a shop and all that hoopla...sigh
I am also thinking about selling some of my recycled/upcycled jewelry pieces based off the response I have gotten when I wear them...just gotta figure out the right venue...Etsy could work...maybe somewhere locally...I don't know.
The more art I make, the more things I want to make. The more things I start to figure out...the more questions that I have.
In the meantime...my January series is done and now it's on to my first piece for February 2018...after the gym...and I don't think I ate dinner...oops!
