I wasn't sure how I would be able to fill 3 pages every day in my morning pages, but it goes so fast- before I know it the words are on the page and my soul is lighter! I do have to make the effort to get up just a little bit earlier, which can be tough some mornings. If I get up by 5:30 I can take a shower, get ready, run downstairs and take care of the cats and then go back upstairs and do my writing.
Something that I look forward to even more is my Sunday morning time when I really focus on bringing the week's pages together. That is the time when I scribble, doodle, collage and sticker til my heart is content. It doesn't matter HOW LATE I stat up the night before (which Friday and Saturday nights is at least 2-3am) I am up, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed by 7:30am at the latest. (oh trust me, I crash later...Sunday naps are also a favorite) John sleeps in, so this is my uninterrupted quiet time to really focus- and I really cherish this time with the week's pages.
Scenes from my special Sunday morning time...I only share this time with Mackie, sometimes Milky if he wants to nap by my feet. I love how my writing and ramblings are wearing this book, making it loved and worn. I am color coding the weeks, each week is a different color so I can track my weeks in this book study.
