...again...we're backtracking here, folks...so...let's go back to...ummm...
YESTERDAY.

I wake from what I thought was a pretty deep sleep with one though;  'I have to paint angels for Veteran's Day.'

Now, it isn't odd for me to wake up with these kind of urgent thoughts.  Sometimes I think,  'ok, yeah, but first I will go back to sleep'.  Spoiler alert- that pretty much never happens.  Going back to sleep, I mean.

So I got up, drew out eleven angels, painted them and then looked up local events for Veteran's Day...found one in Boynton and did what any red, white and blue, angel-totin' artist would do- I donned an American flag scarf and red heart glasses and made my way to the site to hang up angels for folks to find.

Yup, it was an official #AngelDropART happening!
Noonish:
Next stop...Hollywood!  John and I decided to be smart and carpool down south since he had a meeting...so I dropped him off out west and then headed back east.  I had some time to kill before Gallery 2014 opened, so I visited one of my favorite spots- Hollywood Beach!  I like living where we are now, but I will always miss Hollywood Beach.  We used to live close enough to walk there...it was a long walk, but totally worth it.  The boardwalk always reminds me of Pacific Beach- it's like having a little piece of San Diego here on the east coast...any time I miss the west coast a visit to HB helps me.

And this trip did not dissappoint.  I toted my art bag and iced coffee to a nice spot under a palm tree (gotta take care of my skin, yo!) ...and started painting my daily piece.

I'll make another post later to catch up on the art...I'm already due to watch the Project Runway reunion and start another painting... #priorities

After the beach it was time o meet Miss Sharon at Gallery 2014.  Hard to believe exactly one year ago I was going there with my artwork loaded onto a tablet to see about getting representation with the gallery.   And now- my work is  there and I have sold something every month!  My pieces don't go for huge amounts...they are great for folks looking to start collecting...they are small, personal, affordable. Every sale, no matter how big or small means so much to me because I know that someone came in, selected my #heART and liked it enough to purchase it.  (Yay...thanks!)

So the goal for this meeting was to deliver some 'new' pieces.  Currently the gallery has over 200 pieces of my work from 2012-2014, but I took some of the work I have made this year.  We decided on bascially all of my 'Mermaid Series'...a couple of pieces from my 'Many Hats Series'  and a couple from my 'Surfaces Series'...*many works are framed and ready to hang, so go snatch'em up!

*There are SO MANY mermaids...seriously... so I framed some of them and the rest are in a nice presentation book...ask to see them! They are all either 8x10 or 5x7 so super easy to mat/frame :)
